How To Get Better At Jumping?

I'm pretty good at everything on jb except jumping. Any tips? Seriously sometimes I can't even make it to second tier obs. Does holding control help?

I'm bad at it too. Half the time I spend in mini games is spent waiting for the round to end because I am shit at jumping.

Have the mindset that you will make the jump

 

Nah, erm.....practice I guess? Play on the bhop server would probably help unlike minigames, it don't kill you when you miss.

 

Also, crouch at the end of the jump can get you further.

I agree with ToXic that's how i got better it takes me long practice to do a third tier and i have a mouse made for (more hand usage (<--- don't laugh), its the death adder i have more finger mouse buttons making it easier to crouch, shoot and talk at the same time so try mouse buttons so you have more control. Jump at the last second while holding the crouch button, Source thinks it makes jumping, better, easier and more realistic when you crouch jump * don't hold crouch before you jump or your just hoping not jumping*

Don't forget you jump higher if you crouch jump (ctrl+spacebar) assuming you left controls at default

there's also a command you type to jump higher, it goes !giveplayer birdman all....i have tried it, it works

You can play the map offline and practice jumping on obs and climb and stuff, or just do it on freedays.

During LR, practice jumping. You can't get slayed for it. What's best is you can do it as T or CT

What king of jump are you talking about?

BH or regular long jump. I can pass Climb easily and Obs(Sometimes i get stuck on the 8th tear.. ).. so i might help

Get some practice on climb servers, you'll get pretty pissed but after a few days doing some of their maps you'll likely have some new-found skill. Usually there will be other people there on server willing to explain a certain jump to you!

If you crouch while jumping, you will go higher.
