Magic Posted June 6, 2013 Share Posted June 6, 2013 (edited) So recently Garry switched Garry's Mod over to SteamPipe, causing a lot of problems for our PERP server regarding downloads, textures, etc... Well there is a solution to getting those textures you're missing back. As most of you know, you need Half Life 2: Episode 1 & Episode 2 for certain textures. Now since Garry's Mod is on SteamPipe these textures do not work anymore. Here is a step by step process on getting those textures back. Right click on these games in your Steam library and click on "Properties". Click on the "Betas" tab. Opt it in the the "SteamPipe" beta. Start up the game after opting in and click "OK" on the popup. Note: This also can be done with HL2, Lost Coast and Portal Content. Also, if you haven't done so already, please be sure to launch TF2 and CS:S as well before starting up GMOD again. And one last thing, special thanks to @Kigen for guiding me through this. If you are missing important models like weapons or models you need to download the PERP content and install it. You can reference some of the threads guiding you through on installing it.
