rjross2013
Suggestion:when you lock-pick a car, to bypass the buddy system after it is lock-picked, it is classified as an unowned car until the owner goes to the garage under nexus and reports it stolen, then the car will have a stolen car tag above it until the car is claimed by either a cop or the owner. Examples:someone steals a car and drives i as long as they want, but then the owner realizes it is stolen and reports it to the police, then the police get a notification just like the medics do when someone gets killed, the cops track the car down and reclaim it for the owner. WhataWackaMonk
IIt used to be you could lockpick your way into cars. This was extremely difficult, and a large waste of picks and your time. The person could always just shoot their own car, respawn it, or disconnect. The idea is cool, but I do not see the point in stealing a car? Also, if there are no cops on, you are very screwed. rjross2013
like is said, just like a raid you can defend your car, and as for claiming it, when it is stolen then it would be given a tag just like a player would, that says it is stolen, just like a player can not get a job with an arrest warrant, the car would not be able to be claimed with it being stolen, as for the reason, if i do so recall their is the wrench, if the car is stolen instead of giving health to the car, it takes away health and at the same time giving the player items such as metal rods, plastic pieces, among other things, this would not be to difficult if they would re-script the wrench and a few other things. as for the cars after they are stolen, if they are successfully scrapped, they must either be repaired by the owner or the owner must buy a new car! this would add a whole new feel of realism into the perp gameplay! That would be pretty cool, but I don't know how you could script that.... Also, I don't agree with the having to buy a new car. Anything over 300k is not something you want to have to buy again. The Buggatti costs 2.2mil, there ain't no way people gonna re-buy that. I think you would end up with a lot more people dc'ing before their car was scrapped. rjross2013
yea thats the problem that i have been thinking about, but i think this topic is worth the effort it takes to brainstorm, because a lot of people request it. i thought maybe after it has been scrapped, the car can still be found and repaired? like they have to touch chunks of plastic, metal pieces to the car until the car will start? i mean a lot of the mechanics needed for this to work is actually already in the game, like touching gas can to car to fuel it, and arrest warrant auto tags itself to a person robbing the bank, but the only real conundrum is getting the items to spawn while you using wrenches on the car... but like i said, it will take some brainstorming, and i hope together we can come to a solution because it is undeniable a big part missing in perp right now.
