It might not be the volume mixer itself but the program(s), I noticed that it does it to me when playing CS:S/GO and have TS open, and when I hit my mic button for CS it lowers the volume for everything, its a simple fix of just restarting TS, but it does get annoying when trying to scrim, and what not.
