JaX
Ive been looking into a piper cub but decided on a Cessna 140... they can be found cheap. would love to fly from miami to the Bahama's for a weekend. Then i saw these crazy mofo's CROSSING FROM MIAMI TO THE BAHAMAS ON JET SKI'S!!!!!!! Just watch the series... that looks like a fucking blast. great editing.. good music and lots of cool scenes. In reality 55 miles isnt that bad.. its just not seeing other boats or land for 3 hrs.. Find a decent day to do it on and leave while the tide is in... slamming 70mph on a glassy calm ocean.. People are doing the jump in less then 2. once your over there... you just hop from island to island.. not a big deal.. max distance on the Cessna 140 i flew the other day ( im not soloing yet ) is 456 miles.. I could make the jump EASY... but would want to be on floats instead of wheels. BUT jet ski's would be so much more fun and less expensive..But i can go ANYWHERE in the Cessna..im stuck to just water on the boat/ski.. Sold my 400ex and Yfz450x is going next week...Wife said OK but i can only have 1 toy... meaning the bike will have to go too..

bort
You could always strap your jetski to your Cessna and do both

HaRdKnOcKz
Do you have your private pilot license? or permit, flying 456 miles is a decent distance without being able to go solo. And, Miami (Florida?) to Exuma, is 273 nautical miles which in a cessna 140 (i used 85 KPH which is safe operating speed) will take around 4.5 hours depending on wind, temperature and delays. But cool video, looks like it was fun for those guys, although would have been too much hassle to always maintain a heading on a jet ski haha. SyNc
Does anyone else agree that the background music sounds like porno music?
JaX
Nassau to MIAMI IN 1 DAY...^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Thats the way home and the music is bomb.. Im going for my 1st solo next month.. Im looking into a 50' cessna 140 my dads friend has.. Its out of Alaska now in West VA near summersville lake. ( which is amazing google that shit ) Ive applied for my s.s.p.certificate. and getting ready to star my solo training. Im not saying im going to go do this right now loL I said IN TIME it would be cool to do that shit.. I think on jet ski's would be much more fun and if you read the video comments.. It wasnt that hard on the legal end to do..6 page shit for customs.. and thats about it.. Tke passport and license/registration your golden... Notice the firearm they took.. they never even checked the boat or the firearm.. Its good though because im taking it slow.... my dad and step father are both pilots and ive been around my step dads mod'd 47' supercub cruiser and my irl fathers cessna 180. So flying isn't a big deal. Granted ive always had someone with me when we flew.. ( ive never solo'd ) but the actual flying of the aircraft isnt "that hard" I always fly off of V.F.R. so it's not that hard. I probably always will..If it's not nice enough to fly.. why risk it? I was born in Alaska and have seen my ol man crab walk into runways outside Anchorage..Needless to say i didn't have any finger nails left.. watch the vid series hardknocks. 1 thru 6 or 7 w/e it is.. the long way home shows you exactly how they did it IN ONE DAY. and Bimini is like 56 miles.. nautical whatever..ITS 56... These people were the 1st to do it..BUT THERE'S SHIT TONS of ppl doing it now. http://www.reefnews....ini/bimini.html I wouldn't care about going anywhere other then for fuel. I would just enjoy the water...sandy white beaches and an alcoholic beverage of whatever i could get my hands on.. Just let me pitch a tent with the wife.. and a few other friends ( in their own tents lol ) have a bon fire on a small island and have a great time.. most of the islands around Bimini are deserted or no one on them at all.. the water is amazing.. snorkeling would be a blast.
