Kalron Posted August 31, 2013 Share Posted August 31, 2013 Me (Kalron) and Squidfist tossed around the idea of having a Starcraft Brood War tourney just for fun. I think it would be really fun and pretty hilarious. Any thoughts? There are SC2BW Custom games that SC2 has so we wouldn't need the actual SC BW game with all its glory. It's like a small set of seven or eight maps that were big in BW or something like that and you can have the SC BW settings. I.E. twelve units per control group. If we had SC2, which I am sure most of us do, we can play SC2 Brood War which is a series of custom games with Brood War maps and units. You start with four workers, and everything is scaled up a bit. Even the voices and sounds changed. SO you wouldn't need to find it, BigJ So, including me, we would have six players, if BigJ can play. I think we could get Chris and Squidfist in there. Then we would have a 8-4-2 tourney set up. If we can get them to join in, I think it would be fun. We need to organize it obviously. I'll talk to Squidfist and Dadavisster said he's alright with the idea. He doesnt have BW though. I understand that it isn't the same feel, but it's just as broken with the same unit models and animations. Just a thought. We could make it a tournament or something. I've tried them multiple times and screwed with the available options and they just don't work. We could just play on the Brood War iCCup servers but you have to download those manually, I believe.
