GPU-Z

VDDC Current is fluctuating between 1.5A & 4.6A. With a jump sometimes to 7.0A. This fluctuation is very regular.

GPU CoreClock is fluctuating very regularly between 850.0MHz & 240.0MHz.

I have tried putting my x1800xt in his pc and gpu-z does not report any fluctuations.

**edit**

At idle, the core and voltage will fluctuate on some ATI cards, goes to 3d clocks. Use "ATI Tool" to test clocks/load voltages. ----> ati tool http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=725

That card draws close to 70AMPS on load, should idle at least low 20's for the VDDC CURRENT <---(may not be valid for this card). Sounds like the PSU is having trouble honestly (even though it shouldn't) That PSU should be more than enough to power that rig + card. Only advice I can give is to try in a different PC or try another PSU to narrow down the issue clark.

If The computer you put it into is Also DELL, Might be a card that won't work, dells are shady with aftermarket upgrades, at least older ones were .

No, his pc is not a Dell.

I think it mightve been a reseat. At least he's playing now for 15 mins or so without probs.

I can't believe it wouldve been that simple of a problem. Not when most of my pc probs are huge fucking messes, lol.

vent, terry?
