Your friendly neighbourhood, Saibot here with a suggestion that might make the game an actual zombie survival, instead of zombie domination when the server is packed. As you notice, the server gets packed on some days and it makes the game much harder, with more lag and more zombies. I noticed that the best barricade props have an average 1150 health. LETS DO SOME SIMPLE MATH! round = 4/6(keep in mind round 2 wraiths already deal 40 damage) players = 60 humans = 20 zombies = 40 = a zombie damage = 40 = b strongest barricade health = 1150 a x b = total damage 40x40 = 1600 1600 - 1150 = 450 extra damage = OVERKILL I would like to suggest a +1 rule, for every extra zombie after 30 zombies, the base health of a barricade increases by 50 and the repair bar(red bar) increases by 100. But you must manually repair the barricade in order to get that 50 health + the bonus 50 health This would make the game a little more balanced when it comes to a scenario with 20- humans against 30+ zombies not even including bosses. Humans have fallback barricades so even if a prop is completely destroyed you can simply fall back to the next barricade with another prop at 1150+1100 health. Every map is winnable by the humans if they barricade and defend correctly. We don't want to make it too easy on the human team so they win more than their small percentage. We already have the highest win percentage for zs servers on the human team, no need to make that larger. Not to mention humans usually kill a large number of the zombies before they attack the barricade and you always have to assume AFK members on the zombie team. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Saibot_Noob Posted September 21, 2013 Author Share Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) Okay, you also have to assume that the zombies are attacking as a group with boss zombies, and that human side also have useless afk people who afk at the final cade. it does not make a hudge difference in defence it just makes it a little more balanced when the server is full, and zombies are dominating. Don't forget poison headcrab spam. As well only 20% of players can cade correctly the rest are just clueless, add the factor that idiots make it harder to cade by going in and out of your cade and displacing props your trying to place. Saibot_Noob Posted September 22, 2013 Author Share Posted September 22, 2013 (edited) btw say there is a front cade then a back up cade 40 zombies against 20 humans. 30 zombies= normal health for barricade, for every extra zombie after that the health of the barricade increases by 50, and the repair bar gains 100, you must manually repair to gain that 50 health, so really you get 50 extra repair points. players = 60 zombies = 40, thats 10 extra zombies, so 10x 50 = 500 extra health for the barricade and 1000 repair points, humans must manually repair the cade to gain 500 health which leaves them 500 repair points extra. front cade hp = 1150 + 500 = 1650 but the health still stays at 1150, you must manually repair to gain that extra 500 health back up cade = 1150 + 500 = 1650 same thing, health stays at 1150, you must repair manually to gain that extra 500 health I don't see how this is a silly suggestion, it seems very fair, and we are using the strongest props. usually small props are used with 300-600 health which get destroyed so easily when there is 30+ zombies. you can tweek the health gain maybe, for every extra zombie barricade gains 20 health and 40 repair points, its not a silly idea. As I said previously we don't want to edit to server so much it not only alienates people but we don't want to ruin the win-lose ratio. Zombie will always have a higher ratio and always should. MyMindIsBlank Posted September 22, 2013 Share Posted September 22, 2013 The boss values were amped up because when a boss zombie spanwed in he would be raped instantly by everyone there would be no time for him to even do any damage. Its almost as like there is no point to boss zombies with the amount of people and the way you can save poitns to a point where you can buy expensive weapons to solo a boss yourself without help.
