Hey everyone, so im not the smartest when it comes to computers and such... but lately i have found my computer to be running slowly and game graphics and whatnot to be a little on the crappy side.

here are my current computer specs

Pentium Dual-Core CPU E5400 @ 2.70 GHz 2.70 GHz

Ram - 6.00 GB

64-bit operating system

Video card - ATI Radeon HD 5450

Looking to upgrade, or possibly just buy a new tower in general. Any suggestions or ideas?

Price range is in around $750-$1000

You could do a Quad Core build with 8 gigs, about 1-2 TBs of HD space and this graphics card which is awesome

for around a grand

After looking at these specs though I think I'd just upgrade your vid card

what you have now vs. what I posted

Last edit make sure your power supply has enough output to handle the vid card, as it uses 181 watts more than the card you have now lol

DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR GPU WITH THE CURRENT CPU YOU HAVE

The dual core pent will bottleneck the gpu like a motherfucker.

right now is the perfect time to just make a new computer. With all the new generation processors/GPU coming out. You should go to microcenter. They will usually have a 50$ deal if you buy a mobo and processor together. Also a 660 can be bought now for pretty cheap.
