Its Extreamly hard for brand new players to grow or farm whatsoever because raiders with AR's will just check the bought housing and then go to the house, lockpick it and raid. Whal being timed the median was about 5 minutes for a raider to see who has the house and go raid it .

 

Possible fixes would be, Make a limit on when somebody can be raided dependent on time.

 

Make it so it doesnt show Sold on the house, when buying a house it simply returns as sold meaning for people to see who has a bought house they must first buy random houses or go check for themselfs.

 

Make it allowed to grow in places not owned by the player.

 

I feel this problem is making people leave the server and not want to play as people with gold donator or more playtime that has more money weapons to spare wont see the value of the new players drugs.

Firstly, there are some rules already in place to try and help players and limit raiding:

 

36. In regards to raiding the same person/house constantly without giving the said person time to recover from raid, You can ONLY raid the same person/Organization every 30 minutes. The timer starts when the raid is over, not when it first starts.

(This is in regards to a property basis; i.e. If a ORG has 2 bases in SUBS you can raid the first base, then the second. Once that is done you MUST wait 30 minutes.)

 

37. In regards to raid limitations to every 30 minutes, this includes ORG wide; Meaning you must communicate with your organization to ensure multiple raids are not occurring.

 

Second, this would just make the process sloppy and annoying. If you're legitimately trying to buy a property and you can't see what is sold, you just end up wasting your time.

 

Third, just.. no. Unowned growing is a huge problem, since you then have drugs scattered all over the map. There's honestly no logical reason to allow unowned growing; growing/basing isn't meant to be easy.

 

Lastly, I personally don't see this as such a big problem. Like I said, basing/growing isn't necessarily meant to be easy.

alot of us gold, mod, admin guys like to help out the new people on the server as much as possible. if u need to base try and ask someone in a decent size org if you can grow with them and hold up your end without trust raiding them and you should have some new friends to play with when you are online.

You raided me after 1 hour of playtime, you and panda jankins constantly raid new people. Kill them but dont take there stuff (You dont) When panda raids by himself however he does.

It is apart of the game, we can't prevent people not from raiding others. We learn from our mistakes so if you keep dying to them analyze where you made mistakes and work to rectify them. Honestly that is how I learned to get better at PERP.

Its not so much getting better, its more expendature. People like that have guns to spare and ammo to spare, I have maybe a couple things of shotgun ammo and thats it. Say im basing with two people each are fairly new, We cant really fight 4 guys fully equiped with m4s busting down the door and just shooting everywere, nor can it be afforded.

Its not nessasarly for the sake of me, more for the sake of the server. If a player joins spends his starting cash on seeds and pots and a gun and just gets raided by 4 dudes and looses it all, honestly ide mostlikly quit. It just gives a bad image its like, Well if it happened once it will happen again so whats the point of trying. I dont even bother to buy apartments becuase within the next 3 minutes it gets raided, the only way to protect yourself is with props, and the only way to use props effectivly is with a physgun basicly saying donate or be at a very large dissadvantage.

You don't necessarily need a physgun to win. I can give quite a list of old time players who did just fine without Gold. Get a gun and use it to your advantage. I had an Empire Hotel room based up earlier and I still fell to the raiders.

The physgun does give a massive advantage even if its possible to do well with/without one. purely because garrysmod has been built over that single tool and espcially for people who are used to using it.

If you got good at the game, you wouldn't need a physgun or extra rules. Shit. I did fine alone for about a year before becoming mod and before the anti-raiding rules came to be. And having an expendable bank account doesn't make up for it either, because all I use is glocks
