I Love Lamp
So, I reinstalled everything non-Windows related to my E: Drive and my C: drive now contains nothing but Windows files and drivers. I find out today that my flash player didn't get ported over right when i moved a lot of my stuff, so i uninstall it, clean out the folders and such, then redownload it. So I go to reinstall it, and for some reason the fucktards at Adobe assume everyone wants their shitty program installed on the C: drive, and I can't find any way to port it over to a different drive, as the installed has approximately 2 buttons, install and don't install pretty much. There's no custom install option and every time, even when I put the installer in my goddamn E: drive, it still installs to the C: drive. Plz halp kthx Terry. fdh
I'm pretty sure flashplayer 10 will only work on C:\
Wingless
This is ghetto as hell, and requires some pretty ridiculous drive letter switching to get it done, but... http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-
I Love Lamp
Yeah I dug up some info and I found out that my drive problem was only PART of it. Apparently, Flash also offers ZERO support for 64 bit web browsers.
Artillery
Yup. You're just going to have to stick to Firefox or Internet Explorer 8 32-bit. I recently installed Windows 7 64-bit and was kind of displeased with that as well when I found out that AFP doesn't support 64-bit either. Could be worse though. I will wait about 2 years before i swtich to windows 7, give time for other peeps to work out bugs in the system and vendors time to put out new drivers..etc.. I've had literally... zero driver issues. Nothing that couldn't be automatically pulled down when detected, or say, a print driver I had to run Windows update for. 64-bit does pretty much break my RAS access back to work though. Compatibility issues is pretty much the big caveat of 64-bit.
I Love Lamp
Flash is actually the only issue I've encountered and not been able to fix compatibility wise.
Artillery
Same; Haven't really experienced any driver or compatibility issues either - thank the lord. As for half the websites being blocked. I just don't use 64-bit IE, just stick with plain old vanilla 32-bit IE or use Firefox.
