HyperActive
This most likely happens when someone uses their headlights or lights underneath the car. Not sure if anything else causes this, but those are the two things that I know for a fact cause this, anyway to fix this? http://i.imgur.com/pBzhgKr.png pay attention to the grass and ground, they are not the normal textures as the server. LegitM
Lighting can be hard on overall computer performance, The light could be coming out as a more block instead of smooth and overlaying the grass/ground textures, You play on very low from what it looks like (unless thats the problem) and it could be your game just trying to handle it. The lighting is static in the map, baked into it, just because his computer is possibly bad doesn't mean it still wouldn't load it. You're most likely using a config which fucked up texture options. LegitM
lighting being static or dynamic can still cause performance problems, But I concur with the statment regarding the config options.

Ivef
Go into single player, hold C and under "Draw" untick "Minecraftify". That's most likely what is causing it.

I checked, it was unchecked, so that's not it thanks for the reply though
