So I wana hear ur guys opinion So I'll post a new subject once a week and u can post ur opinion on the matter or argue about someone elses Rule: 1. No racism toward the subject 2. Be honest 3. Post a funny picture about the matter that we would all enjoy 4. Please do not put anyone down or hurt their feelings 5. There is no stupid opinion! I will most likely be argueing or maybe putting up an opinion The subject of the week is: What do u feel about our new president? Will he keep to his word? Why or why not? Unfortunately a lot of people are too immature to talk about politics on the internet because they can hide behind their anonimity.-sp?- I'm going to school for politics, mainly national government stuff hoping to get some internships in political campaigns as an aide or advisor in some way, possibly going into business law or political law crap. As for the president question, I know a lot of the promises made during campaign season are just words to get people excited so I take most of that with a grain of salt. I've talked with Vandium a lot about this and I agree with him when he says Obama will do fine, not amazing, not terrible, however I do not see him getting reelected becaue he came, he saw, and he served his time. Like SWAT said, 1 term and then another democrat will need to step up. (or possibly a new age for independents?!) They trashed the right too hard for a republican term so near in the future. (when I say they, I don't mean Bush. ) It is ignorant to spend so much money on healthcare, and not spend money on learning/teaching to be healthy. Of course we have to do somthing about it, because the costs are ridiculous, but this is not the way. Obama has the good poker face which had everyone believing everything as gospel. His newness has worn off on many American's as well as the world. We MUST become the next major power in Energy and Space. (we ain't shit in the transportation or infrastrucure area.) Otherwise, it is impossible for us to pay down this debt. And I mean that, impossible. So be ready to thank the people you have been hating, Exxon Mobile. They will have to take the lead for America in the energy game. The Constitution does not even exist anymore with all the bills that have been written that pretty much override everything it states and stands for. Although the earth would be a much cleaner and greener place. (pun intended) If California legalizes Marijuana, it will spread rapidly through the states. The money that can be made and saved would be enormous. (Or at least stop charging minor possessors with criminal charges that prevent people from getting tax paying jobs...) Cash for clunkers was dumb, I guarantee 20-30% will default on their loans. I mean thats why you had a clunker to begin with, because you couldn't afford payments. (usually) C4C was another example of the lack of full foresight before dumping money into something. "Oh wow, 1 billion dollars blown through in 2 weeks...lets dump 2 billion more." And lets not even add a "domestic only" clause in the agreement. (over 50% were import purchases, although some still made in American facilities...but still. No thought put into it. You can't change the world, so you have to just do your best and roll with it. Otherwise you would make yourself miserable. I do hate how we reward people who don't want to work, but want to have 5 kids... But we can't even euthanize dying old people, so we couldn't euthanize the ignorant. lol More fire in this thread!
