Ethan Mars
So I got bored and decided to make a guide to winning as zombie team in Garry's Mod : Zombie Survival. [WARNING: RESULTS MAY VARY SO DON'T BLAME ME IF YOU KEEP FAILING ON YOUR TACTICS] > The Map and Cades < A good zombie team should be able to find shortcuts and alternative routes in the map and find weak points and flank spots in barricades. You should be able to do this by picking small creatures such as headcrabs and crows. Using them as scouts can be valuable to your team so be sure to analyze and pinpoint every weak spot or alternative routes. As an additional bonus, you can use crows to peck objects such as valuable cade props, arsenal crates and turrets (you do know this right?). Sure they might deal about 1 dmg per peck but hey, its a start to destroying cades. I suggest you group up as crows and peck the hell out of them props to deal sufficient dmg. You may also use the fast zombie to scout out places as they are agile and take more hits than headcrabs and crows though they can't fit into small spaces. > Attacking < Now this is the fun part for the zombie team. Since you are on the zombie team, don't be shy on attacking the humans, you got infinite lives so keep attacking! An efficient way to attack is to group up first then go rush in the cade. In my honest opinion, you shouldn't always group up as it can waste time and groups are usually taken down easily by rapid fire weapons and explosives. Be sure to set someone as spawn point as a long trip to the cade can be your downfall. Look for a safe spot to spawn point your zombie team. When attacking in early waves, its advisable to attack cades early and focus on roaming humans later as this will lead to their downfall. During the later waves, pick out offensive zombies (regular zombies, poison zombies and bloated zombies) and group up on cades to break them easily. Remember, group first, rush later. As for the roaming humans, you can pick out support zombies (ghouls, headcrabs and wraiths) to take them out easily. Use the element of surprise to easily kill the roaming humans. Support zombies may also help in destroying human cades such as headcrabs crawling into small spaces, poison headcrabs sniping on humans and ghouls and wraiths killing looters. When attacking the cades and if you have enough time, break arsenal crates, detonation packs, resupply boxes and turrets to help you in attacking. Speaking of destroying important objects, you should also try to kill the important people in the human team. This includes medics, snipers, caders and heavily armed humans. When you attack cades, it is vital to focus on one prop at a time. The man who moved the mountain, started by moving the small rocks. One last note. If you plan on killing the human team, I suggest you don't go as a one man army and instead go with the group to ensure zombie victory. > Picking the Right boss < Each last ten seconds of wave intermission, the zombie with the most damage to humans will transform into a boss zombie. (Multiple boss zombies are possible.) Here is a brief strategy on the bosses used in Zombie Survival: Nightmares Nightmares deal great damage towards humans and cades. You should group up with them in order to destroy cades easily and quickly. Tickle Monster Tickle monsters have elastic arms giving them higher range of attack than most bosses. They are good at V-Cades and same strategy with Nightmare. Butcher Most humans don't survive a butcher attack. Despite the ability to quickly kill humans with their cleaver, they are useless when it comes to destroying cades. Use this boss when multiple humans are roaming or looting. Be noted that once you are killed as Butcher, you drop your cleaver, leaving it to be used by humans. This can serve as bait and I suggest attacking the human who tries to grab it. Puke Pus Given the ability to puke out...puke, you are given a slight increase of attack range than most bosses (except Tickle Monster). Use your puking abilities to shower multiple humans. Be noted that you have a high amount of health than most bosses so be sure to use this boss as a tank. Shade With the power of telekinesis, you can throw props to annihilate humans. Shades are vulnerable to light so be sure to avoid flashlights. Shades can't attack during cade sieges but they can serve as bullet shields as they are immune to ranged and melee weapons. Bonemesh Bonemesh serves as the medic of the zombie team as they are given the ability to heal zombies and damage humans with their meatballs (that's what I call them). They can also use their claws in desperate situations. Due to their supportive nature, they are not that good in cade sieges. > Zombie Attacking Strategies < In the meantime, I only know of one strategy. Not sure with other strategies so if you have any more strategies, try to post them in comments The Gatling Gun Strategy This strategy uses offensive zombies. Group up first and rush after. Spawn point zombies are vital for this strategy. When you attack, don't stop until its all over. Be noted to focus on one prop at a time. > Communication < In order to communicate with your other fellow zombie members properly, a mic is recommended. Chat can help but it may lead to spam. Also, try not to rage out, ragequit or pathetically surrender as these can lead to our downfall. Don't give up, its just the beginning of the end of humanity. (unless your zombie team is retarded then that's the end for you.) So that's all I have thought of so far, leave a comment on what you think and give me some recommendations and other ideas if you can. Have fun eating brains! - Ethan Mars
