Ron Burgundy Posted December 13, 2013 Share Posted December 13, 2013 US Secretary of State John Kerry was to meet Friday morning in Jerusalem with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in his latest attempt at promoting elusive Israeli-Palestinians peace talks. The two were to meet in a city-centre hotel at 0630 GMT, after the US envoy held more than two hours of talks Thursday evening with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas, in the West Bank city of Ramallah. A Palestinian source said on Friday Abbas rejected US proposals for Israel to keep troops in a future Palestinian state along its strategic border with Jordan.
