Boxer-I-
Within the last 4 months dota2 went from 250,000 players to 650,000 from what I saw earlier this week and it recently won e-sport of the year over league of legends who has won it the past 2 years. I'm not saying league is dying but I am saying that dota2 is growing very rapidly especially with the newly added ranking system, team system, and amazing user interface. Im strongly considering making a full move over to this game as I did start on dota1, then hon. I've been playing it a lot more recently and have been enjoying it quite a bit. I'm kinda curious if anyone else has noticed these changes or have been playing dota as of recently. I think dota2 should be a major focus within the strat division. Basically I'm looking for feedback from strat player on this subjesct. TL;DR. Dota is fun Edited December 28, 2013 by Boxer-I-
digitalshot
I want to play Dota but I feel like I will always bring down my team because of how bad I am at strategy games.

Vetman
After playing league for a year, way back at the like last time i'd ever heard of geno, i got really tired of the constant boredom of league. I'm not saying league is a bad game, it's a great game for people who want to play moba games casually. However, when i played dota 2, for me it was like 1,000,000x better than league because there never is a time where you aren't defending a tower, pushing a lane out, stacking creeps to get farm for your carry if you're supporting, ect. I'd totally be willing to do a mini bootcamp with a few members, and i'm sure I can talk rampage into doing it aswell.
Boxer-I-
I just simply love mobas, always have. I just think its something as a community we can no longer ignore. It's going to be a very big event for future esports
BluHorse
league and dota both should have more focus from strat IMO, dota probably moreso since i don't think too many people within the community (there are a few) play dota. I myself prefer league. Edited December 28, 2013 by BluHorse

I agree strat as a whole needs to work together to become an actual force within this community, but as of recently the league of legends side of HG has been doing quite well.

NegativeZen
I have DOTA2 and have played it some, but for me its a bit like the same problem I had when I wanted to play HoN. It's so much more complex than LoL, and noone wants to get screamed at as "that guy" on the team who is just learning. If we set up a night or 2 per week where we got together as a community to play when us more inexperienced DTOA2 players could learn more, I would be sure to show up for them, if not working of course. Hung
I just joined and have played a few games with Boxer. Will do what I can to help grow the the Dota/strat division! Highly suggest any moba players to check out dota - while there is an investment of time and effort to learn a new game, trust us it is worth it
