captaincracker
I will be entering an internship at Google next summer! Luckily, my dad's friend's son works for them and got me in as an intern! So what does that mean? IT MEANS I'LL HAVE A JOB AT F*CKING GOOGLE WHEN I GET OUT OF COLLEGE OHMEHGERD. His daughter works for Facebook and I could have had an internship there too (Google pays better).

captaincracker
It will certainly look good on your resume when you apply for a job. Yup! VERY good haha. I just have to finish up a good amount of community service requirements before the internship starts. Companies like Google don't hire/accept interns without a crud ton of charity work. internship =/= guaranteed job though i assume you know that if youre getting an internship there nice tho No I'll have a job. The guys son that got me in isn't exactly a runt in the company. As long as I don't f*ck up major I will have a wonderful job awaiting me when I finish up school. If you don't value personal time/family time it is. If you wish to lead a life outside of work, look elsewhere. Google has everything on campus for a reason, to keep you there. I've researched this plenty when shooting out resumes various companies. Thought I would send one to google too. Then I did my research and said fuck that shit.

Depending on what pay is like there, It would almost be a nice investment of time to work there a few (3~5) years and perhaps seek worse elsewhere, as an extended job at google would almost guarantee you a job at other companies. BranHorse
I live in the area and would like to give you some information/advice being that I know and work with 4 engineers that interned at google, facebook, go pro, and HP (all in the area). One of them got offered a job as project manager for them and turned it down to work for a smaller construction firm. The pay isn't all that great. Your benefits are nice, but no nicer then a state worker. In California state employees get amazing health and retirement. As stated above food, gym, spa etc is available at most of these places. HP Google fb all have campuses that are massive and cool. I have no Idea where you got those salary figures from, but the best doctors in the world don't make that much. There are a billion programmers in this area and all will work for much less then what is posted. Also factor in the price of living here which is ridiculous. Goodluck! captaincracker
Ok that sums it up. You're full of shit. No they can, if they own their own practice or work privately. They make ridiculous cash. I also said make UP to, of course not all make that/ Edited January 24, 2014 by captaincracker
BranHorse
No they can, if they own their own practice or work privately. They make ridiculous cash. I also said make UP to, of course not all make that/ Are you sure they can't make up to more? Why not 10 million? When you talk about a profession you don't mention the 0.001%.... That's like saying I can drop all my schooling and start making duck calls all because one family became rich doing it. That one family is the 0.001% Also the top 10% of anesthesiologist make above 350k. That = 5 million right? In the real world people get lucky if the make more than 100k a year.
