60Seconds Posted August 29, 2009 Share Posted August 29, 2009 Whenever I go to work my neighbor takes her 5 and 7 year old girls to my pool. One time, i came back from work and they were in the pool, so i took them back to my neighbors house, then she starts calling me obscenities and saying that since she is the neighbor she is allowed to use my pool. And since then this has happened 10 times. I have tried planting tall shrubs around my property. Now one day i saw one of the shrubs was chopped down. Also now everytime I have a party at my house, as long as my driveway is it cant fit all the cars. o i park them in the street she calls the police. what should i do can i sue? Wingless Posted August 29, 2009 Share Posted August 29, 2009 If it's your property: 1. Tell her she can't be on your property 2. If that fails, call the cops. Might take more than one incident, but it will eventually result in a trespassing charge. Shrubs: If she cut them down when they were on your property and they did not extend on to her's in any fashion, that's ground for a small claims suit. The only way she can trim one back is if it extends over her property line. Parties: It's not illegal to park your car(s) in the street, provided you're not blocking hydrants, driveways, etc. The homeowner's association might give you shit about it, but that's not from a legal perspective. As long as you're quiet, of age and not bothering anyone, I don't know a single cop that will do anything about a call like that. Bottom line, I think you need to hit this bitch in the pocketbook. Cops don't need recordings, they just have to see them there and know that they're not supposed to be. Also, you're wasting the cop's time rolling back video for him. They don't appreciate it. Like she kept complaining that the workers were making too much noise. i mean they are fucking building a house of course there is gonna be noise. Also i called my cousin who is a cop in my town. he said he will use his undercover cars and plain clothes to see during the day when i am at work. if she does it again while hes there he will arrest her on trespassing charges. I talked with a lawyer too. he said i can sue if she touches the shrubs again. The shrubs dont overlap her property, i use a landscaping company, I didnt plant them myself. My neighbours bang on the walls on purpose, do housework (vacuuming) at almost 12am, go outside at gone 12am shouting at eachother, threatening to beat my mum up (lol), spying on us, throwing cat shit in our garden. We've called the police about 3 times because they almost started a fight with my mum and sister, threw a stone at our house and then we called the community police about the continuous music (they have a stereo which is basically outside and play it almost every night til 3am+) The police can't do shit though which makes me want to go round there and throw a brick right through their window and hopefully hitting one of them on the head so they die.
