Ryan Bass
Wanted to make an small discussion about censorship.. internet.. bad words. Reading above will contain bad words. If those words my concern you, then this post is not for you. While I'm writing this post, I'm drinking my late cup of cacao drink, listening to B.o.B - All I Want. In the first second we can hear word "bitch". Whenever you turn on radio, does not depend on where you listen it, car, internet, in the shop, if there will come up song from Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Rick Ross, etc you might get even 40% of the song without words because of "beep beep" sound in it. But even that is not my concert and topic here. Meanwhile I have been added to HG clan Dota 2, thanks to Boxer... Some of the songs have changes, my Spotify shows song "Tyga - Muthaf**ka" is word fuck something that you don't know? Isn't censorship coming from a lot of years back? When the life was different, when phones and internet was only in dreams. While thinking of censorship I remembered that I got what song about S.O.P.A. in one of my Party playlists. http://youtu.be/m8p_A5KrwGc In the beginning you can hear: "... The ability to access to express our self's as individuals.. what happened to our freedom? It seems that this is jet another force field that government is inflicted upon us to enable more control? More POWER! Why do we have the least of the say? ..." So, the question and the topic is: Shouldn't we disable censorship? Of course you will tell me that, kids don't need to hear words like shit, fuck, idiot, etc on TV, internet, on the street. But lets think about this, the internet is changing our life. You can be anywhere in the world, you can call with internet power. You can post photos, videos, you can tweet, instagram and read news. Even kids now use iPad to learn and play games, while a only a few years ago all I had was bicycle and all I did was go out with friend and play games, not sitting in a room and playing Angry Birds. New generation is already new zombie army, they need new iPad, new iPhone, instagram, facebook, vine, etc. Communication happens trough that. They have started to drink faster then we did. Some of those kids have lost their virginity while I in those years where somewhere out hanging with my friends. Time changes.. So why we still have censorship? They already know all these bad words, even know a lot more then I would probably know. The idea of this is that, why you, I can't go in YouTube or in multiplayer game and if I'm mad start to say, you got dammit dumb idiot!!! Fuck you! Of course, I would not rage like that, you would need to make me really mad. I talk more of the concept, why there is this censorship? Kids now all the bad words. Even in internet forums, 95% will be with rules that you are not allowed to write in bad language. Some of the most popular worlds already will be censored, at least I did that when I created my forums. All these Fuck, bitch words I censored, but that was 4-5 years back. Right now I actually don't give a fuck how you express yourself. Of course I would not use these words in business meetings, because there are still rules that you have. And usually if you want to make a good expression of yourself you cant' even have tattoos on you. This is not the only topic that I think is coming from old generation of us and I could probably keep writing about this and other topics, but it's time to me go for Dota 2 match. I hope someone will read this, maybe someone will tell what are his thoughts about this and maybe we will even go in some kind of good conversation. As well I'm sorry if I got a lot of mistakes, English is not my main Language. To Recap: What you think of censorship on words? Is this still actual? Also, if you liked my topic and want to see my thought on some other topics please press that like button. And you can write here or send me an msg about new topic idea if you want to hear my thoughts. For those who might think that I'm 16.. small profile on me. 24 years old. Got girlfriend ( almost 2 years now ). Entrepreneur, trying to launch company on my own. Looking for additional work. Thinking if myself that I have born few years late for internet. Love to play video games. -Ryan

Inc
its not about the fact that we dont know what the words are, i knew basically every word i know now by the time i was 12 and a majority of them before i turned 9 go try and sound professional to a possible business venture while saying fuck shit ass fa**** etc its partially about seeming like a polite person and partially about being intellectual enough to get your point across without the extensive use of profanity and partially about accessibility. sure, a words use might not bother you, but does that mean it wont bother someone else? no way of knowing would the 10 o clock news really be better if they threw in a few fucks? doubtful. people want to keep an image of professionalism about themselves. you do that via censoring words that are seen as "profane" personally i see it as a non issue but to each their own
youthedog
censorship of words for general public doesn't equal censorship of the internet If you're 24, you aren't out of this generation at all. There are times where you need to be professional and then there is leisure time. They have started to drink faster then we did. Some of those kids have lost their virginity while I in those years where somewhere out hanging with my friends. Drinking/sex has happened at young ages, it's just more exposed to everyone nowadays because of social media. Even in internet forums, 95% will be with rules that you are not allowed to write in bad language. If you're gonna make up statistics, source them. The most popular websites in the world aren't censored. The top 3, Google, Facebook, and Youtube aren't censoring words, you're coming out of nowhere with this. They already know all these bad words, even know a lot more then I would probably know. No, not really. Most kids I meet know none of these words, maybe one or two, but who didn't know a bad word or two from their parents? I don't see where you're coming from, you're connecting ideas that are far from each other.

Ryan Bass
its not censorship If not censorship then what is it? @inc! of course it's not polite to talk in most of the conversations like that. But I don't understand that old people way of thinking that saying fuck, shit, etc is a bad thing. @youthedog The situation about kids might be different here in Europe, at least in my country here. I know how we lived our childhood and now I'm looking how new kids are doing it. We had at least a bit of respect to our teachers in school. Our main goal wasn't to get drunk on weekends and to take as many girls as you can in your/other bad. I don't use these kind of words in real life when I speak with people. Of course I'm using them when I speak with my friends, but I'm thinking here of the idea, that these words are still bad, and that you still will be and douchebag, arrogant and whatever esle if you start to use them in internet.
