vandium
Nah, I don't think this person walls. They actually appear to play decently, like still shooting where the person should be when they got flashed. As well as using a smoke grenade to scare the other team into thinking it was a flash. They also keep their crosshairs up. So I am going to say no, personally.

vandium
Nah. On his initial view of the player in spawn, he kept shooting where he heard the shots coming from. Ima say legit, large id, but he/she appears legit.
bort
wow swat, u alwasys make hard ones. well he does make a few suspicious moves, but i think most of them can be explained like this shot looks like he's shooting thru the door at a player... ... but that's becauase right before that, that dude, thru a FB in, and its pretty likely that someone can assume he'd be rushing in right after. plus, there was not really any tracking of him thru the door . also, this FB he avoided without ever seeing it (which is suspicious). i dont know how he knew it was coming ... but another FB, he would have had even more time to see it coming, but he never dodged it... bort
there are several other places where he definitely WOULd have seen a guy if he did have walls, but he didnt react. one odd thing is at the very end, he lowers his mouse to shoot guy # A without seeing him first. that was a bit fishy, but then guy # B shot him, and if he was walling, then he would have seen guy # B first and took care of him Edited January 2, 2009 by HT | bort
bort
http://www.filecram.com/viewfile/3186224.htm in this demo, he appears to be a good player. everything looks normal EXCEPT how he knew to dodge that grenade at the very end. however, it might have been a coincidence that he jumped back at the same time to reload his M4
ttaM
My main thing is the way he just runs into Long A without hesitation. No flashes went over or anything he just ran in and started shooting at the guy in the back of T spawn. No check to the right for backup from short. My fault though I guess. vandium
Yeah I am thinking he uses radar and soundcard. Yeah there are some coincidental things, but I always check normal spots, and sit on them for a second while im making sound, to see if someone pops out on my screen. Ima record a demo, and show how I might look right at people through walls. You don't realise it while you are playing, but when you review with wireframe, it can look like walls...and even aimbot sometimes. Distance and no one on radar being shown is a good way to tell, if they area walling. Because if they can't hear or see anyone on radar....then they shouldn't be lining up shots, or baiting someone around a corner, door, etc.

bort
Bort, what do you type into console to see that during demos? after the demo has started playing, just press SHIFT+F2 and hit pause, then pull down console and enter this: sv_cheats 1; r_drawothermodels 2 i havent yet figured out how to bind it to a key
DarkOwnage_
Hey, I was playing during that game too =^). That is a pretty difficult decision though. Everyone has days where they look like they wall lol.
vandium
after the demo has started playing, just press SHIFT+F2 and hit pause, then pull down console and enter this: sv_cheats 1; r_drawothermodels 2 i havent yet figured out how to bind it to a key Create a cfg, or copy your config. Then name it "wireframe". Add sv_cheats "1" and r_drawothermodels "2". Then bind a key to exec wireframe.cfg bind "F10" "exec wireframe.cfg" I am sure with some coding, you can have it toggle on and off with a key. I am at work right now. Pureslay
He is an old HT member from what he told me. What's with bans without definate proof? Just cuz a demo is made a ban is not warranted. I make demos all the time that are not definative, so I dont ban. Especially him stating being an old member more research is needed. I thought he was questionable at first when specing him but I later spoke to HT members and found out he was kewl. This ain't the cold war get your damn finger off the trigger. Hax denied; admin absue for serious. If you aren't sure, make a demo and leave them be. Have others look at demo on site ,like this thread, and have a more experienced person make the call. bort
^ thanks van i'll try it ok lets not get our panties in a bunch now. SWAT thought it was suspicious. he went spec and recorded multiple demos. and regardless of what you say, there were a few pretty epic maneuvers seen in those demo that could be considered questionable. it's not abuse, and you should listen to your own advice: we're not in the cold war, so why the hostility? Pureslay
Joking btw. My advice was if they are so questionable, don't ban. Not to give DJ a digital BJ, but if he and others do some crazy stuff like that, you wouldn't think twice about it because you know them. This kid has just started playing in the server last week , and due to a name an admin didn't know he gets ostrisized for some actual skillful playing. If you demo half the good people you will find crazy manuevers that are questionable due to the outside perspective and seeing through walls in demo playback. I'm just pointing that out, no hostility I am admin in that server with swat, I know him. I just don't think every person questionable should be banned simply because a demo was made. It happens too much and then people don't like to play in the server after the ban is up due to what happened the first time.

vandium
Yeah, and it was only a 5 min ban. And since he was/is an HT member, he knew the protocol. But I also agree, if they aren't truly blatant, or rolling the entire server, then just post the demo. And if people see hacks, we can add to the banlist.
