Microphone Not Working

Alright guys, maybe someone can help me with this. I contacted GeekSquad and they weren't of much help, Mez tried as well but its just such a strange issue.

 

So the problem is: My computer is not using my microphone (or even picking it up) as input, but using my computer's output instead. Its like the two are linked, if I play music, my speakers play the music, but my microphone as well.

 

 

IF anyone knows a solution to why my computer's output/input is fucked up for audio, please let me know. Gladly will teamviewer with anyone who can fix the problem, thanks.

 

 

*note* Can upload screenshots of my Recording Devices/Playback Devices/settings in a bit.

 

 

Few things:

 

- It is NOT outdated/old/corrupt drivers

 

- It is NOT the device itself (I've tried the mic on other computers and it works fine)

 

- It IS a matter of my computers input/output being fucked up, I even system restored to a previous date (of which it was working), and it didn't solve the problem.

Could be a physical problem with the jack if you've tried resetting and everything. Do you have an alternate jack you could plug in to?

Just the front one but the front one is just fucked up.

I had the same problem and it ended up being my mic drivers. Even with a system restore they didn't work. Try uninstalling the current drivers and getting the newest ones? Maybe some old ones?
