What About Data Bases?

Can I make with some program connect two data bases at sql ?

We have two databases that must be the same on two servers in different places...

The update is working now like export at the first server and inport at the second, but that procedure is too slow and needs alot of time ( the files that I export and inporting the new datas is in ascii).

Τhen we take the export file of the second server and importing them at the first.....

I am asking if anyone knows some program that could do it by it self?

My expectation is that when one of the two servers make something new then the "program" inform and update the other server.

The program we working at the office is an erp program (I dont know if I can write the all name and company ....some admin could let me tell it?)

Thank you

What is the reason for having both of them be identical but separate? Redundancy? Accessibility? I'm guessing you can access one from the other since you're looking to sync them. In a number of cases, SQL is used is high-speed, high-availability environments, so depending on how you want to sync the two, it may turn out to be easier to combine and centralize them. If there are a lot of queries and changes happening, and you need them separate, you might look into doing a daily sync, which will be a little more complicated because you will have to track changes. If there is a low number of queries, you can look into having one query one a server trigger changes on both.

I should also ask, are you using MS SQL or my SQL or what? Have a look at:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms151198.aspx

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/replication.html

Both have exactly what you're asking for built-in already, it is just a matter of how you want it setup.

The reason is that in Greece we have a tax mechanism that interpolates steals printing from an invoicing program and redirect the printer with the tax label states the county here . This process from a remote computer created continual problems , why internet connection delay or we had a power faillure and do not necessarily accepted . From the server but we all had a delay when there was such a thing . The next step was to upgrade the server to a new faster . The problem remained , however . And so the boss wanted to split in two and to exchange new data , recognize the two servers.

Well the process is quite time consuming and wants and very good control to prevent errors occur duplicate documents in the database . My issue is that now the boss does not like the delay and the need to turn the remote connection to our branch or find something that can do what right or automatically when entering any data change from one to another server .

Thank you for the two sites I will read carefully and tell our computerized partner to read it too....

About the second question I will see and tell you...

Both office make continuously both stores do posts from purchases or sales (the amount of these recordings are great to become twice)

so we've put document categories in each and different so do not confuse the inport but instead EXPORT THESE entries are from completely different point.

The day after tommorow I wiil upload the files to see what I am telling you.. ok? ( if I can ! can I ypload 4 files to see?)

imasonaz I will see and tell you

Thank you for all the answers . Beleive me I dont want to confuse your mind but I ama OPEN in any Ideas
