ssSithy
So recently, when I've been playing Gmod, many times about 15 minutes or longer in, my Gmod will crash (not even making the windows error sign pop up) and the last made sound from Gmod will keep looping. Keep in mind the loop is not coming from a specific program visible in the sound mixer, and the only way to get rid of the sound is to turn down/mute the master volume or restart the computer. Also, crashes usually happen when I say turn around and look at laggy areas, like for example, playing ZS and turning around and looking at the barricade and everyone shooting. Also, I have an ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Sound Card. Fuil specs: OS: Windows 8 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40 GHz RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (4GB x 2) @ 666MHz Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Graphics: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Power Supply: Corsair TX750M Hard Drives: 2TB Seagate HDD, 500 GB Seagate HDD Optical Drive: ATAPI iHAS124 B SCSI CDROM Device Case: Cooler Master Storm Scout 2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Sound Card: ASUS Xonar DG 5.1 Headphones: Sennheiser HD558 Mouse: Razer Deathadder 2013 Mouse Pad: SteelSeries QcK Monitor: Toshiba 40" 120Hz LCD HDTV Dunno if I'm running out of memory or what, any help would be appreciated. If extra information is needed, I'll provide it. Edited March 19, 2014 by ssSithy
Spikes3711
The only methods I could recommend to you is to uninstall your add-ons. If it still happens, it might help to delete your Gmod files except screenshots/demos. then reinstall.
ssSithy
Tried that. Still gets the crashing problem every so often. EDIT: Fixed it by turning off GX in my sound card settings and turning off Multicore Rendering in gmod. Tut
Sound loop.. You mean when a sound repeats 24/7 right? It does that to me, open developer console and type: Stop sound or Stopsound. Hope that works!
