60Seconds
I'm on Att for a year now and I want to upgrade to an I-Phone 3gs from a lg shine but am not willing to pay the 200 buck early upgrade fee. so i came up with an idea of getting an iphone through my dads account. Can i swap the sim cards if i bought an iphone through his account. Like put my shine's sim card in the 3gs and have my dad still be able to keep his 3g
Element
unfortunately, the iphone has no back cover to take off, so no but when i did the early upgrade with ATT it only cost me $75 so you might want to check that
Element
ALSO dont forget you need the data plan with the IPhone Otherwise you'll contract HUGE data bills, because when the phone is on, it is using data Stupid, ino but thats just the way they made it =P
Wingless
Google says "yeah, probably" But yeah, make sure you have a proper data plan or you're going to get raped by AT&T.

beast702
no the sim cards are all the same if you have the 3g sim card cuz they wouldnt want to spend extra more money jus for a sim card especially for the iphone
K!wi
I have the 3gs. You cannot because the upgrade is for your parent and it will need to be registered under your dad's sim...
aLLeN^
All you do is go up to att with your dad and use his account and get the 3gs. Ask the person working there to take off the data plan for your dad and add a data plan on your sim card and put your sim card in it.. and it'll work. Wingless
On a SIM based network, any SIM based phone (with proper branding on the firmware) will work with any SIM card, provided your plan has the proper items (data, etc.) on it. For this to be any different specifically for the iPhone would be a level of ignorance that I don't believe even Apple is capable of achieving.
