Chicken Wings
Call of Duty has changed. It's no longer about the same michael bay film, racial conspiracy theorist ideas, or world war 2. It's become an endless series of ripping off other game's stories, consuming people's lives, and becoming a well oiled cash machine. Call of duty has changed. Price tags now carry dlc tagged prices. Exoskeletons enhance soldiers (or pilots wait which game is this?) enhance abilities. Server control. Gameplay control. Anticheat control. Nothing is monitored and kept under control. Call of duty has changed. The age of annual games has become the age of acceptance. All in the name of fighting EA. And he who releases annual games, controls the console market. Call of duty has changed. When annual games become the norm, plagiarism becomes routine. For those of you who did not get why this was written with Call of Duty http://www.examiner....-date-announced Edited May 2, 2014 by Chicken Wings

Doobie
$60 a year isn't going to break anyone. If you want to see well oiled cash machines go look at blizzard and valve. Ghosts was fun for awhile after the huge ban wave they had.

Ghosts was fun for awhile after the huge ban wave they had. Oh man ANOTHER COD lol It is clear that the joke in this thread was not understood because my post was tl;dred/hal's post was ignored. I will elaborate what the original post was mimicking. In the beginning of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Snake gives a speech (vid hal posted). The article I posted at the end of my post talks about how the next call of duty will be about PMCs taking over and war being different ect. MGS4's plot line deals with PMCs taking over and war being different ect. That is why I titled the thread Call of Duty: Guns of the Patriots. I have no idea if they will copy MGS4, but I thought the connection was funny and so did others who saw the press release.

dorito^
Don't like how it looks to be quite honest. Wanting CoD to stay away from futuristic shooters.
Comic King
To be honest, i've got nothing against CoD, yeah it's the same game over and over, but it's a fun shooter. I don't really care about muddy textures or stupid perks, i just wanna kill some noobs and campers. I don't buy CoD as soon it comes out, i buy it from a nearby store 4-5 months later when the price is 20-25 euro, unlike Steam where the price tag on MW2 hasn't dropped since, well, i dunno. I don't care about DLCs, and i will probably buy this one too, but on console, PC versions of CoD from Sledgehammer and IW are bad, while only Treyarch does a good job. I dunno 'bout you peeps but i'm excited for this year's CoD
