I slayed him for freeshooting and he decided to argue with me. I informed him that he fucked up and needed to stop arguing with me. He continued to argue with me so I kicked him. A few rounds later, Meat did a pirate day. Right before the pirate day started, Meat informed the CTs that they were not to be behind big cage. A few of them chose to ignore it, so I gave them about 15 seconds to move and when they didn't I did a short templock. Mewa started to argue with me again and once again I informed him that he should pay attention better and he should stop arguing with me. He decided to continue to argue so I gave him one final warning, which he chose to ignore and continued to argue. chc Friend of HG it took me awhile to decide if it was worth all this bs just to make a point, apparently it is. | tick 83500+ for the moment in question. you'll notice the guy next to me is just as surprised at my slay, until he gets it too. there's a couple other chaps involved in this incident and were caught off guard as well. things get ugly when we try to reason with the "broken" and ask why wouldn't he slay instead of templock. templock only makes sense in scenarios of direct defiance. does it look like we were directly defying him? i have over a thousand hours on cs:s, and a lot of those are jailbreak. hg's jb server is very isolated from the rest of cs:s. youre rules dont always coincide with the way others servers tend to play. there's a strong discrepancy between hg's version of bait and every other jb server on cs:s. this and the fact that you have developed many of your own games (which happens on any jb server) that have their own very specific parameters. i think this is what happened in my last game, we played a game with rules known to hg server players. they were partially given initially, during an unfortunate server lag moment (~825000 tick), and the non-regular's simply didn't understand. after seeing the demo a few times, i realize that broken was right in that he thought orders were given to cts. but he was very wrong in thinking that that they were comprehended, as many players told him. its seems he couldve done a lesser punishment as an initial warning, rather than straight to templock (broken i say this more for other players than myself, but in fairness¹ you should warn for each offense before going straight to ban status [with the exception of mass freekillers]). <---- {that was a good use of brackets}. i've been an admin on many servers (which i didn't have to pay for....) and have ran servers myself. i generally consider admins to be the law, it's their server. i have never seen a group of admins so diverse in their opinions of "the law" as on this jb server. it seems the calmer more rational ones have it right. others, who seem to have a vigilante attitude, are so proactive they'll ignore offenses 10 times worse to focus on the one who's in their sights. i have only had about 2-4 hg admins pay attention to my play, but these 2-4 have focused like lil laser beams on my ass. it seems these bored fellas watch until the tiniest slip happens then hammer their biggest hammer. what joksters this is a certain mindset and i dont expect hg to change it. ¹fairness... i hope this can still exist in this environment, but no, i will not pay half this servers monthly dues to have this ban ignored. its fun to play jb with 60 people, just not that fun. sidebar - here's a condump from last night, since i couldnt upload it, of "dissolved" ignoring a playing who stated over the mic "i'm gonna freekill now" and proceeded to kill the people who didnt suicide. dissolve's reasoning "if i didnt see it, i can't do anything about it". just another guy protecting his friend. he was actively playing while this happened, if he didn't see it, he sure as hell heard it. the pub was furious. this same guy actually kicked me for calling his friend "C4NADIAN Bastard" an idiot (or something). the rational was "player disrespect". i cant remember the last time i saw any two players on jb "respect" each other. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -hg- V.V.DOOM The Inmate suicided. An admin, I believe it was me but I don't remember, says in admin chat to not be behind big cage as the slapping started (tick 83820 to be precise). ~0:36 - Marshmallow comments again saying "CTs get away from the back please" ~0:56 - I templock mewa for 5 rounds since this was his second offense, shortly thereafter I templock the other two CTs that were standing behind the big cage for a shorter duration As for not warning, I warned you MULTIPLE times to stop arguing with me and every time you chose to ignore it. On the arguing where I banned you, I warned you not once but twice to drop it and you again chose to ignore me. For something like that the protocol is to warn>kick>ban, so since you chose to ignore both of my warnings the second time I banned you from the server. As for your copy paste, copy paste proof is inadmissible so it is kind of a moot point. Dissolved is also correct, we as admins are told that if we didn't not witness it first hand then we are not to act on it and that we cannot take second hand accusations as proof to punish a player. |

Meats mic did cut out, and should have repeated after noticing the other 5 CT's behind the cage. For someone who may not have been playing on HG jailbreak for an incredibly long time may not have encountered a pirate day before therefore not knowing all of the rules, as you've already stated. | @admin chat warning, the warning is quickly flooded away by the messages produced from the slapping, so It's more likely that mewa and the other CT's didn't see it. The thing is, it's only a temp lock and you can continue playing, within 5 rounds you can be right back on CT. I think if you disagree with what an admin has done, it's better if you just keep it to yourself especially after being given several warnings to drop it. When you do have a disagreement with an admin and you feel as though they've handled the situation incorrectly or abused in any way I HIGHLY encourage you to file an abuse report (http://hellsgamers.com/forums/74-Abuse-Reports)rather than keeping the problem alive in the server. @ the dissolved incident, Dissolved is correct, if he doesn't see something happen he cannot take the word of other players to take action off of. This is simply because when theres 60 people in the server, how many people claim they are freekilled? Probably atleast 3 per round, often times even more. Thank you for coming to the forums to provide your side of the story and a demo of the situation, Your ban will remain as is since you were given probably 3-5+ text warnings to stop arguing. So please, in the future try to do as an admin says (even if being irrational) to prevent things like this from happening. If you do disagree with an admins course of action I again highly encourage you to file an abuse report, because this is the only way that bad admin behavior can be corrected. |
