Need to get this cleared up. I have discussed my being a scammer status from a mistake I made over 6 years ago. I joined a tf2 trading server today and got a perma ban across all HG servers for "being marked a reported scammer". Frustrating.

The server automatically bans anyone marked as a proven scammer on SteamRep. You will have to make an appeal and get it cleared up there to be unbanned here.

There is definitely another way of going about it. I've had a friend who was using my IP on his steam get banned from HG for the same reason. I got it unbanned through someone here with a simple Teamspeak conversation. Didn't require the steamrep appeal. Only reason it didn't happen to me is because I haven't connected to any of the trade servers until now. I don't plan on going back to it so I don't see what the problem and issue is with unbanning me from HG servers? I can't even play on Jailbreak in CSGO anymore.

You won't be allowed to play on the TF2 servers with an account marked as a scammer on SteamRep, but for the sake of allowing you to play our other game servers, I'll disapprove the ban. Don't connect to one of the TF2 servers with this account again or it'll automatically ban you unless you can get it cleared up with SteamRep.
