HG Member | MFK into stack on Obs when there was a smoke and the lead told the T's it was OK to wait for the smoke. |
HG Member | Video proof and the confirmation by the lead. https://imgur.com/a/eTe7Am8 |
Friend of HG | Thanks, he can explain here if he wants to play CT again. |
Friend of HG | Orders were to do obs with 3 seconds per tier. A smoke was thrown onto first tier of obs after the order was given. A t asked lead if he could wait for smoke to clear to continue. (at the time there were 3 Ts doing obs on tier 8ish) Lead said he could. I assumed lead was referring to one of the players at the front, as lead previously said you can wait if there are people behind you. Therefore in order to confirm that nobody was hiding in the smoke not doing orders I shot into it. Thus, the freekill was a misunderstanding of the order given. I assumed it applied to players that were actively doing obs as they would continue until disobeying Ts got LR from them messing up obs. Evidently this was a stupid characterization of the orders given and it should have been clear to me at the time that the warden's intent was to pardon players still in the smoke. I want to clarify that while the above was my thought process at the time, it looks pretty absurd in retrospect and therefore I apologize for my own stupidity and the annoyance it caused others. I would also like to submit that I tried to clarify my intent with moderators present at the time, and they ignored any possible conversation about it. Not sure if this is relevant given how moderation works on different servers, but perhaps it helps my case that I made an effort to explain myself at the time even if my explanation was nonsensical. |
HG Veteran | I explicitly told the Ts that they were allowed to wait for the smoke to clear, the only smoke on obs was on first tier. |

Also the clip is linked above, admins can view it for themselves without trying to rewrite history. |
Friend of HG | Un-tlisted. Typically whenever there is smoke, especially when trying to do obs or making a jump during lava day, we let the smoke clear, even if there was a time based order given. Don't shoot through smoke as a guard. |
