In the demo I have a conversation with chimmichanga about an instance where i was a theif, lockpicking bigj's front doors and he opened the doors while i was lockpicking them, and killed me. I've been told by a leader or uM in the past that you cannot do that. I cannot remember if it was SuperSkreeech or Mark, but i remember you not being able to do that with your doors.

In the conversation he says he saw what happened, however didn't do anything about bigj, because later in the demo before i stop it, he did it again. I got slayed because i demoted him twice in a row.

All bases must have at least 1 possible way in.
3 body door rule! 3 body lengths required between another door.
If you Die, do not go back to that location for 3 minutes. (New Life Rule)
Do not kill random people in public. (Random Death Match)
No prop surfing / climbing / killing.
YOU MAY KILL in self defense.
YOU MAY KILL ANY RAIDERS on or inside your property.
YOU MAY NOT KILL people loitering near your base - call the police and request removal.
No fake Keypads.
Thieves are solo only.
No Metagame.
No Exploiting
Any player may take an item that is not theirs - but they risk arrest.
If someone is running away with your property, you may attack them.
If someone is running with a stolen item that is not yours, you may not attack them.
Elevators or custom doors must have a Keypad.
Don't block cameras
ONLY the Mob Boss can mug for $200 via agenda, Gangsters can help.(10 min rule)
In these rules it says absolutely NOTHING about opening doors while lockpicking.
I'm under the impression that these are the rules for the server and there's no ghost darkrp rule book laying around?
I'm also under the impression that this a new server with new rules so other, older rules are invalid?
Also, in the demo where you were lockpicking, you crossed the threshold into the base. I'm pretty sure that validates him opening one door and shooting you.
If i'm wrong, please enlighten me and I will correct myself.

ok so there is no rule against opening your doors to kill a lockpicker i did it all the time, but the key is to making sure you kill all members that are raiding you before you close the doors they have already lockpicked, at that point there would be a issue but because he was working alone there was only one raider so no wrong doing happened here.
