Adam Cole Posted May 5, 2016 Share Posted May 5, 2016 (edited) So a few updates ago SKay added the detective feature but created a kinda weird police/undercover job that the person is supposed to figure out as they go along with it. So I am here to propose a new implementation of detective! (And to annoy skay with another suggestion(I love you bruh <3)) How about we add a disguise/undercover mode to make things black and white. To become disguised you would go to the cop NPC and say "I'm going to catch some crims (Disguise)" or some other way of typing it. After you say this the npc will take your police radio, cuffs, and baton away. (BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW IT'S HARD TO HEAR IN GAME WITH THAT SHIT) You will also revert back to your original char model and your name in chat and above your head will return to being green. (If not disguised it will be blue) You will also have the privilege of either selecting a personal car or choosing a preset department car. Ok but that's just like quitting your job right? CORRECT! Kinda, so you will have a new menu in f3, called the snitch menu. (Name pending) In this menu you will be able to send anonymous messages though the radio and some other features. As a cop it would show up like every other /radio but instead of your name it will say "Detective". No officer will be able to tell who the detective is except possibly the police chief or mayor and admins (IF I SEE ANYONE ABUSING THIS POWER EXPECT AN ABUSE REPORT) . NOW FOR SOME DEBUFFS YAY! When you go undercover you may not participate in raids, arrest, defend bases from police raids (I DON'T WANNA HEAR BULLSHIT ABOUT IT'S PART OF YOUR COVER). You may also not unlock any door unless you have permission given to you after you become the job. This is as simple as asking: "Hey can I base with you?" You are unable to disguise unless at least 2 cops are on. Extra rule: YOU MAY NOT BE A LITTLE BITCH AND SWITCH FROM DETECTIVE TO POLICE CHIEF AND SAY UH YEA HE HAS DRUGS LET'S WARRANT! "So why are you posting this huge thread you fucker?" ~Future SKay Well it will help clear up some misunderstandings that come with the detective role. When you are not disguised you are known as a cop and are expected to perform all duties entailed as being such. When you are undercover you are fucking undercover, your job is now to observe and report. I believe this will help improve the support and report role that the detective job currently provides. edit: tl;dr since skay asked ya dun fuked it up, you half assed the undercover part of being a detective now we got problems. make it so I can toggle being undercover m8.
