Check that your question hasn't already been answered either on this website or on Google. We expect due diligence and not laziness on this forum. 2. Respect is a two way street. Try to assume good faith when someone asks you a question you know the answer to. 3. If people question your information, back up your sources instead of attacking them. It is more mature and shows you have a fucking brain and not a 10 year old's attention span. 4. I understand that some people want answers quicker or things answered, unfortunately we're not all tech savvy people here. Please have patience and understanding in all of us. For people answering questions! 1. Show respect for anyone posting a) Don't assume that everyone here is tech savvy. If you troll someone for asking a legitimate question (whether you know the answer or not), you will be banned from this subforum. Learn to be patient and kind to others even if they're asking a question that can be easily answered. Don't tell them to search Google. On the other hand, we assume that the original poster did research, if not, he did not due diligence and we'll know next time to be more cautious about these said threads. Users that do not search Google first are frowned upon and won't necessarily get the same attention to people who ADD information in their thread. c) Don't assume anything about anyone. Since this is the Internet, anyone can purport that they know anything and/or everything. Do your research first! For answering questions, assume they have no knowledge (unless they have demonstrated otherwise), and ASK questions. Don't attack them. Trolls will be dealt with on a case by case. Most people don't but to ensure we have consistency with answers and since it's for help and not all fun. It'd be fair to enforce this rule Feel free to pm me if you disagree For DL+ feel free to fix/modify as you see fit for rules. Please be reasonable however.
