Caillou The Dragon Friend of HG Well, let me start off with saying, I'm not really sure if I'm actually supposed to post this, but I figure if it's not, it'll still get moved to the right spot. | So, I guess I was banned for exploiting LR. I haven't played HG in a while, maybe a couple months (not counting a little bit this morning), and I got LR for the first time a little bit ago. I often choose fountain jump, so I decided to go with that again. To my surprise, it didn't teleport me to the top of the solitary cell, which was traditional. Instead, it was just a race to get to it from wherever you were beore the LR was active. Well, just for kicks, and I should stress that I did not even think this would work, I stood on top of the fountain, and then activated the LR. Humorously to me, it worked, and I went and killed the CT. I didn't even plan on doing it again, I just thought it would be funny to try. I even chuckled on my mic after it worked. Now, as I go to start another LR, I get banned, much to my surprise. I feel like banning me was a little bit unneeded, as the admin who carried out the ban could have literally just said, "Please do not exploit LR." and that would be that, and I'd never do it again. Instead, he thought it necessary to ban me for 2 hours. I mean, I'm not trying to personally target the admin or anything, but that doesn't really make sense. In my experience with the HG staff, they warn first before doing anything. IE: "Next person to talk over lead will get a 3 round mute", or they do a warning for baiters before slaying. However, in this case, I was just immediately banned. And, I get the argument of "Well, why would you need a warning? It's listed in the rules", but you see, I've already read the rules back when I used to play on it, before the LR system got changed. So, why would I reread it again. Sure, it's been a month or 2, but I didn't expect there'd be any drastic changes to the rules? I mean, can you really blame me there? Anyway, I'm trying my best to stay fair, and not personally target anyone, and I do hope it came off that way. All I'd like is to be unbanned, because I do enjoy the server. Thanks in advance for any help. |
