Getting GN1 without a high rank team is impossible nowadays. Operation BReakout literally killed SIlver ranks. Now, every 2-3 matches, I have to fight against a smurf premade.

 

Why? No more Pay-to-play maps, smurfs have no reason to stop playing on those accs.

I don't encourage boosting either. The way for you to actually learn the game and get better is learn from he mistakes that you're making, go watch some demos and see what the pros are doing, play alot of deathmatch and you'll learn and rank up in no time. I had a rough time at some point, went from Gold Nova 4 to Silver 5 in 1 day but I started to learn from my mistakes, I started watching tutorials on youtube and I was playing alot of Deathmatch and now I'm DMG and still going up.

This isnt always the case, there are most mm where you get with trolls(very frequent in low ranks silver 1 - 2/3 star), Your teammates dont know how to play(silver 1 - 4 star or even ak), or smurfs (really ranked ak+). I had a tough time getting out of 4 star because I kept playing with a silver, I knew the game very well. I solo qued and got ranked up to MG2, that took a while too because there were few people who still didnt know how to play the game still. This persons case may just be that hes playing with players that arent in his league. Yea you could say that if he was really good he could just win his games but again 1 player makes a big difference in the team, if that player sits afk for even a quick second it could determine the game/rounds outcome or even abandoning or trolling. Youll still need to practice though like chuchu said, thats a big one even though when you mm your teammates might not, it could make a difference.

But then with boosting the person wont fully learn how to play the game and then just get demoted after the person stops boosting them, i personaly dont see the point in it, as i use to do it for few friends and it got me demoted.
