Mechanical Gaming Keyboards

Recommended Posts

I've wanted a mechanical gaming keyboard for a while now and I've been looking around the internet.

The Razer Blackwidow Ultimate looks good but my question is, is it worth it? Is the normal Blackwidow any different from the ultimate?

Now, I don't want any arguments about which company is better, I would like just answers to the question as I've been to many forums where literally 6/7 pages are just arguing about which company is better.

If you know of better keyboards and you'd like to suggest them, please do. And of course, I'm talking about the 2014 builds.

I got the blackwidow ultimate but the thing about razer is they make the switches themselves and do not use cherry MX switches. Wish i had done my research, it is still an amazing keyboard and the green looks nice

IMO the new keys they make now are better for gaming then cherries. Cherry reds are quieter and my go to switch, but after using a new blackwidow im on board with those new keys. Very good feeling and quiet.

I don't own either but i've heard good things about the ducky shine 3 and corsair vengeance k70

I have a k90 with cherry reds. Loved it at first, but after 6 months the a key is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....doing that. Clean the keys every few months too =[
