How Jesus Met Your Mother Posted June 3, 2014 Share Posted June 3, 2014 Hello all, I was wondering if somebody could help me out here, I am very agervated because I am trying to make a CSS map but everythimg I open it from steam and try to create a new map it gives me an error that says it cant find the default scheme file or something along those lines. No matter what I do I still cant seem to get it to work. Has anybody ever seen this before? komodoh Posted June 3, 2014 Share Posted June 3, 2014 What you do is go into your computer. Computer > Local File > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Counter-Strike Source > bin. Once there locate an application called hammer. Open that and that is your map editing software. If you need help actually getting started on Hammer, use this. http://www.tophattwaffle.com/ It is incredibly helpful and will teach you almost everything you need to know. If you want to edit maps for other games, Use game specific Source SDK which you can download on steam in the Library tab under tools.
