nathanisswag
This build is around 950 dollars and will give you insane performance for the price. It can play BF4 on 1080p at ultra settings with 4x anti-aliasing! Heres the link http://pcpartpicker.com/p/VyMpzy The specs speak for themselves. I have this pc but i have a 290X not a 270X This will give you AWESOME PERFORMANCE FOR THE PRICE! I'm also certified in programing and network at the age of 17

Also to the op having a 290x with a 6300 is pretty unbalanced. Edited July 9, 2014 by Short

Dynas
So i took your build and made it ten times better for the exact same price. Intel Version http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TPTJgs AMD Version http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TKDcGX Intel version is going to be using latest motherboard chipset and newest i5 processor with a GTX 760 AMD version has your same mobo but better everything else. Graphics card in AMD build is R9 280x.

You're missing the Operating System and Optical Disk Drive. Also the Devil's Canyon 4690k/4790k and Z97 mobos are out now for the same price and are more current. I'd rather have a better motherboard than have a Kingston SSD.

Bang for the buck mostly. ASRock usually packs more features in their motherboards for a lower price than their competition. Despite the build being $1000 price still matters and ASRock has good customer support if anything were to go wrong. But if you don't prefer ASRock then ASUS Z97-C, Gigabyte Z97-UD3H and MSI Z97-Gaming3 are all good alternatives in the same price range. Who uses Disk drives anymore? Even so they are worth average 20 bucks. Edited July 10, 2014 by Wyn

If you're changing mobos you can't reuse your OS. You could use the same disk but you'll have to buy a new key. Also disk drives are becoming obsolete yes but the OP included one in his build. Hmm, I forgot about the os sticking the the motherboard. Haven't dealt with legit copies in a while.

Just a little trick I have learned over the years, if you change mobos call windows tell them your board died and they will ask you for you're old key and re activate a new one for you remotely. Has worked every time for me with my 4 year old windows 7 key.
Reaper
I was going to say... $120 for a SDD? Those SERIOUSLY dropped in price. only reason the price is that high is because it's such a little SDD. I like the second build. Maybe if I get money, I will buy something similar to that. Use my current rig as a server for minecraft or something.
