cs:go Excessive Round Amount?

When I started playing on HG Jailbreak, the win limit went to 25. This would mean drops would occur every 90-120 minutes, and this was fine.

Then it extended to 30, which got to be a little excessive, but still, okay.

Now, I'm on and CTs have 42, Ts have 24, and rounds left say 12.

What the hell is going on? Who keeps extending the amount of rounds needed to win? This is causing games to go on for many hours (this current match is ~6 hours strong, still no drops.)

I mean, sure, if people are joining in later, they'll stay due to being closer to drops.

However, if players join at the start of the match, when theres still 70(!!!!!!!!!!)+ rounds to go, it might really discourage them from continuing to play. I know it discourages me.

Not to mention if someone actually stays the full 6-7 hours of the match, drops come, and they get nothing.

Can we please get some official word on this?

It should be 49 afaik, and wins were 25 and drops will happen.

49 wins seems incredibly excessive. Have you gone into the server and played the entire round amount how it is now?

EDIT: Match just ended.

Time: 6.5 hours

CT: 44 wins

T: 24 wins

It should be always that. IDK why it would be diff.

Pop into the server sometime, particularly after a crash or update, the maxrounds fuck all kinds of ways to sunday. Like I said, the last match went on for 68 rounds and lasted 6 and a half hours.

There is an idle server if you want drops that bad.

It's not about wanting drops, it's about feeling forced to stay until drops because of how many rounds there are.

You don't play Jailbreak for the drops. You play to listen to shitty HLDJ and you know, play Jailbreak. I don't see how this is a hard concept to get.
