Judge, Jury And Executioner

Recommended Posts

As many of you have probably noticed, I was demoted and banned from the HG servers for one week. This was a result of a comment I made during a match-making game I had played; which you can view here https://hellsgamers.com/hgbans.php?i=148965-dat-a. Obviously a mistake was made by me and I let my anger get the better of me, but I feel as if I had been left hanging in the gallows, without a review of my previous behaviour, or how much time and effort I have put into making HG look good as a community. I don't know the procedure, or what happens when you make a mistake; but I feel as though some other arrangement could have been made instead of crucifying me for a comment made against people who were constantly harassing me, and possibly cheating.

Now, I don't know dapper's credibility, or who he is as a person, but many people in HG know what type of person I am. I joke, and enjoy playing with many of you; and I try to make it a fun experience for everyone. As an admin, I'm always doing my duty of making sure people are following rules; and for new people, I try to be lenient and teach them when they want to learn. I understand that I made a mistake, but the circumstances should always be taken into consideration in these kinds of events. I do not go up to random people and yell racial slurs at them, and I did not mean to do it in this instance either. I meant to put the slur in quotes because that is what we were called pregame by one of the enemies. Now obviously this was a mistake, but I feel as though the months of spent being an HG member, a member of the community have resulted in nil for my credibility or my integrity.

They only thing I wish to come of this, is to consider the circumstances of the case, and to consider all sides. Do not become the judge, jury and executioner by only reviewing a single piece of evidence. If this helps anyone in the future then I will be satisfied.

Sincerely,

Mani
