Wingless Posted September 30, 2009 Share Posted September 30, 2009 Erm... Cupcake (1.5) is the predecessor of Doughnut (1.6). It's the next official HTC image. If by Jailbreak, you mean flash with a custom ROM (since Jailbreaking doesn't really apply to Android phones), you're probably already running some Doughnut code as it is. So if you're running a stock 1.5 rom for dev phones, you shouldn't have any issues loading 1.6. But I don't know your phone better than you, so I won't make promises. Rooting your phone does not make it a dev phone. Dev phones are hardware and sim unlocked, and have an OFFICIAL unlocked bootloader that lets you flash with unsigned packages. http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/device.html You get close to the same thing when you backdoor the phone and load a custom bootloader to it, but it's not the same thing. Considering the images's requirement of a specific version of factory loaded bootloader and a flash through ADB, the mentioned image might work, but it could also fail and pseudo-brick your phone.
