Kalron
I'm trying to get Eve Online to work on my computer since it stopped working last night. I've made a tech support request and a forum post, forum has no success so far and I'm waiting on the reply from the tech support. I have this issue when I play the game when I uninstall it and try to reinstlal it, the launcher acts like the game was never uninstalled. I uninstall it through windows and search through my program files to try to delete everything. I've downloaded the installation wizard thing or whatever and every single time, the launcher just reappears. And, when I get on the game, my graphics are set to high and there are missing textures, however, every game I play -- Farcry 4, Space Engineers, Minecraft, and SWTOR are the test subjects -- the graphics in there are fine, nothing is missing. The real issue is me missing files so the game thinks that there are still things there so it just automatically finishes the download. Any ideas where I cna look to delete the files? Btw, I've tried repairing the game as well.
KiLLeR SeNSaTioN™
K I'll bite. You probably have some driver files hung up somewhere. If they were active when you ran the uninstall it might have skipped them. Couple things you can try here: 1. Try deleting all cookies and temp files and then redo the installation. 2. Restore the computer to a a previous restore point. If neither of these work, I would suggest the following 1. Uninstall the software 2. Perform step1 above 3. Open a cmd line type "regedit". Scan your registry for any instance of the game and remove it. Then try reinstalling. Edited April 10, 2015 by KiLLeR SeNSaTioNâ„¢
-Broken-
You might have to try uninstalling the launcher as well, they may set a variable in the settings as to which games are installed. Eve, from what I'm seeing after looking a bit, shouldn't leave any trace entries in your registry after uninstallation so my best advice would be to uninstall everything from CCP then installing fresh as if it were your first time installing the game.
