(this might have been a stupid question so sorry if im not a super techy guy) It means that your CPU will not work in the motherboard as the socket isn't right. You need a board that has a AM3+ socket. The CPU you've chosen is OK so just get a board that supports it. Try using http://pcpartpicker.com/ as it stops you from choosing the wrong things.
