Crashing In Vertigo

How are you crashing matt? Is it a full computer crash, or is it only Gmod that is crashing, and does it just close out completely or give you an error as it closes out? On top of that, what cooling system are you using for your CPU?

edit: saw it in the pcpartpicker, so probably not cpu overheating if you're using liquid cooling. I'd still suggest lowering the overclocking to see if it makes a difference, overclocking can be finicky with the way intel likes to put hidden failsafes in.

edit #2: If it is just closing out completely, have you ever had any ram issues, such as while setting it up, it not loading properly, or other things along those lines?

nah that overclock is 100% stable. been using it for about 6-7 months without issue. even running extreme cpu intensive games and benchmarks.

ram is not overclocked and i doubt the issue.

but yes the game crashes and i get a window that pops up with that little box. happened twice on vertigo so far. no other maps are affected.

i remember forrest telling me something about forcing gmod to use dx12 so i may do that and see what happens. jump in debug and throw up vertigo. its only the first time i load in. i am perfectly able to rejoin and play the map, although i have to redeem myself since i'll be a crow waiting for the game to start.
