Champ Kind
The proposed so-called "Adult Use of Marijuana Act," which is supported by Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom among others, would allow people aged 21 and older to possess as much as an ounce of marijuana for private recreational use and permit personal cultivation of as many as six marijuana plants. "Today marks a fresh start for California, as we prepare to replace the costly, harmful and ineffective system of prohibition with a safe, legal and responsible adult-use marijuana system that gets it right and completely pays for itself," initiative spokesman Jason Kinney said in a statement. The measure would also establish a system to license, regulate and tax sales of marijuana, while allowing city governments to exercise local control over or disallow commercial distribution within their borders. RazzleBerry
"adult-use" lmao I'd bet money that more teens will be smoking it than adults. It's really not difficult to just have a 21-year-old buy weed for you if you're underage. The age minimum is basically worthless in that regard. I believe the regulation is that you're not allowed to have over 10 ounces of marijuana, yet allowed to have x amount of plants to grow. One plant has the potential to yield more than half a pound, which is 8 ounces right there. It was implemented into the regulation to make people sell it to dispensaries or on the streets - the only other option would be to illegally have over 10 ounces.
