Things To Consider When Making Maps

Map Environment:

Why are the survivors there? Are they trapped? Are they seeking refuge? Are they just passing through?

Does the map fit with zombie survival? Does it fit with the zombie survival atmosphere, such as presenting a plausible reason why the survivors are there, why they have/brought weapons, or how they even got to the location?

Why are there thousands of zombies here? Are the survivors in a neighborhood? A town? A city? A subway? Anything highly populated?

What is the presented cause of the zombie invasion? Is the map post-apocalyptic? Are they preparing for an outbreak? Has the outbreak already happened? (If its before the outbreak, why do they have weapons?)

Map Quality:

If it's something like a neighborhood, would you see people in real life living there?

If it's a base to seek refuge in, is it sturdy and support realistic environmental hazards? Is it designed to efficiently protect against intruders?

Do the buildings support realistic environmental hazards, such as flooding, wind, weight or pressure?

If the building is underground, where is the source of air coming from? A hole? A vent?
