RecyclingBin
I know not a lot of CSGO community servers actually support or at least have the Weapon Skins plugins. From my knowledge there is only 2 servers that really have cross server support for !ws, !knife, and !gloves. But I was wondering, have admins ever thought of getting these plugins and using them? If so when? I think it would be kind of neat to be able to configure our own weapons instead of fighting over whoever a dropped weapon with a skin. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Link to comment
0x48756776
Not a good idea at all. This is against the terms of service and will get the game servers banned. Current servers operate by using a special plugin that changes or rotates the Game Server Login Token (GSLT). If you run these plugins and they ban the GSLT Token, and all servers that are registered to that account. This gets all your servers banned. Not a good thing. You can read more about this being not allowed here - http://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/server_guidelines/ To be clear, the services that should not be offered on a community server include (but are not limited to): – Allowing players to claim temporary ownership of CS:GO items that are not in their inventory (Weapon skins, knives, etc.). – Providing a falsified competitive skill group and/or profile rank status or scoreboard coin (e.g., Operation Challenge Coins). – Interfering with systems that allow players to correctly access their own CS:GO inventories, items, or profile. epicgamercharchar1312[UK]
Skins don't matter. Yes they look nice, but even apart from the fact that these plugins are banned and can get our servers blacklisted, its just not a necessary thing that we need. Plus in the past I've heard others have issues with the plugin, as well as myself where I've been unable to join the server at times. tl;dr, not necessary probably won't happen Link to comment
