bort Posted January 20, 2009 Share Posted January 20, 2009 actually, i believe |Best| and BrianB are two different people. if you look at all the IPs BrianB has had in the past, only one of them matches the IP that |Best| is on right now. And at the moment, their IPs are different. It's very common for ISPs to issue IPs to a particular node from a specific range. Whenever BrianB shuts off his modem, he will likely be assigned a different IP drawn from within that range. It's only inevitable that some his and |Best|'s IPs will match since they are both being issued IPs out of the same range. Some ISPs work differently however, and they will give you a lease on your dynamic IP for several months, so even if you unplug your modem, you will still most likely (but not alwayS) be issued the same IP again. He has tried to decieve admins to get money and such things before, until a trip to Vent with myself or Van present-for voice verification-I say he waits. And explains the spray.
