I wanted to start this thread earlier but I never did. Hippie's thread finally got me to start it.

Here are my guns. My AR-15 is the one with the gray barrel, my bros is the other one.

And my Glock 23 in .40.

So post your guns. I have a few more but they aren't anything special.

P229 in 9mm. It almost makes love to your hands.

I went to a shoot with a few Colorado people but the guy with the sig canceled so I still haven't shot one.

That is a sick ar. I want to switch out my rra stock but I have to wait until I get a job. I will be putting a Magpul CTR on.

You need to pick up some hollow points for your glock.

Most ranges have guns you can rent. They're usually dirty as hell, but you'll get the general idea. That's how I fell in love with SIG pistols and pretty much the opposite for Glocks. The only reason I would go Glock is if for some reason, I had to share a pool of magazines with people.

My next investment is probably going to be shotgun. Haven't decided what model, but it's probably going to be a Mossberg. Puts less holes in my walls than 9mm.

Reminds me that I need to pick up some frag rounds next time I'm at the range now that I have someone living below me.

For long gun, I'm actually thinking bullpup. Maybe an Aug. Compact and pretty damned accurate.

Thanks Sock, I took me awhile to finish it and i've only been to the range once since then but i love it. Technically it's not finished because i am getting an Aimpoint Micro T-1 soon and a few smaller things too.

BTW, i have hollow points it's just that those are my range mags. :cheesy:

Wow cef, you're ready for a zambie attack. I dont own my own guns, but I shoot my buddies AK.

I like to be prepared. :D

Sig's are very nice i hope to add one to my arsenal in the future.

Shotguns IMO are the best Home Defense weapons. Mossbergs are nice in the 20" variants b/c they hold 8 + 1 in the mag tube but the 590 models are a bit heavy.

Bullpups are very cool, i have shot a friend's MSAR not too long ago and it was very addictive. Some models of MSAR's by microtech have the ability to accept AR mags over the waffle AUG mags which is a big plus.

They are a cool collector/novelty gun but that's about it, very impractical.

That's kind of my thought on it. Israel does make some quality arms, but that's a bulky gun right there. Even the baby eagle I was looking at was way too heavy to consider carrying.

Yea, I just thought it might be pretty cool to get one...I guess the novelty of it kinda seduced me....what kinda hand gun would you suggest?

I would suggest going to a gun range and shoot as many as you can to see what you're most comfortable with. Everyone is different :guyfromhell::guyfromhell:

Found this in a box labeled Aperature Laboratories...

I think this is a gun, not sure what it does though... or how to hold it.

And it has the name 'Chell' carved in it, don't know who that is though.

I'm hungry for cake all of a sudden...

Come summer break, I might just be tempted to bump this thread when I'm get home. Guns and college don't go so well together so all of mine (other than a P226 in my car) are home. =[

@ CEF - Well prepared for an invasion. =D

@ sock - Get you hands wrapped around a Sig asap. Go for .357. The ammo's pricey, but there isn't a more versatile pistol round in my opinion

Seconded. Standard guns you'll see at the range include a few Sigs, a few Glocks, a 1911 made by a few companies. Springfield XDs seems pretty prevalent. You pretty much want to put a few mags through as many things as you can, and one of them will just feel right.

Sig in .357 is a very solid suggestion. .357 in general is an all around good caliber, even though it's more expensive and somewhat scarce with the false ammo shortage.

Sig also has a series that's pretty much all custom parts. The frame is made for several different round sizes, you just need to swap out the guts. Of course, triggers and grips can be swapped as well, but I'm fairly happy with my stock grips on the P229 with factory trigger pull. You'll have to Google it, I don't remember the line name.
