I have a pen knife? I'd love a butterfly knife, but fuck, everything is illegal in the UK. Except if you're a pregnant woman and need to piss, you can take a leak in a cop's hat.

Balisongs are lame. There are so many more efficient ways to stab someone. That aren't considered a fixed blade and therefore largely illegal, even in the states.

I've been carrying something like this for a bit. Nice for one-handed operation.

Something really similar to this was about my favorite mid-range folder ever. It had an index finger stud along the back of the liner that would open the blade.

I'll eventually end up picking up something a little more nice, but I like toys, hence the small collection.

  • 2 weeks later...

Typical Americans lol :P

Here in Holland its a criminal offense having weapons like that. If u get cought u wont go to prison for it but the fine will be very high.

As i recall reading a while back the fine starts at 5000 Euro, thats about 6500 Dollars.

I like guns in game but not real guns lol, even just having it for fun to shoot some, accidents happen quickly...

So with my latest paycheck I'm looking to buy another hand gun. I don't want to spend too much so I was looking at one of those sig p225 police trade ins or something like a Ruger SR9c.

Sig Sauer P225, Nitron, DA/SA, 9mm - MONTAGE SUISSE - Top Gun Supply

What does everyone think? Cheap and new or cheap and used.

P225's in general are good guns. Before buying ANY used gun I would give it a nice look over and function test before purchasing and buying surplus guns you run a risk. But if you buy from a reputable gun store you won't have to worry about getting a lemon.

I'm sorry your freedom was taken away. Like anything dangerous there are rules on handling them and respecting them comes first.

Guns don't kill people, people that are dipshits that lack basic understanding of machinery and safety kill people. Remember, the bad guys are always armed.

I'm a Sig guy. Can't really go wrong with the P2xx series. I have a 229 in 9mm and couldn't be happier.

Me and my dad got two shotguns.

Remington 870 express (pump 12 ga, with up to 3.5" shell capable)

Mossberg Silver Reserve 500 (Over/under 12 ga)

My dads a complete pussy but when I turn 21 I would like to get a .45 1911 or something along that line.

Only shot 3 pistols in my life. A .25 (that was old and didnt hit a target 5 feet away)

A Smith and Wesson .45 (not sure of model, had grip safey and thumb safety, Similar to 1911)

and last a Browning 9mm (Hated it personally, 45 was much smoother)

Well I went looking to just hold a sig and looking for a Ruger sr9c and came home with a USP compact in .40 s&w. Pics eventually.

Nice choice. USP's are high on my list right after I get a 1911.

So I suck at taking pictures and my camera died but I took a few pictures. These two suck the least but they still suck. I will try and get better pictures when I go to clean it before I shoot it on Saturday.

Ok here is a quick review of the USP compact. I put about 150 rounds threw it on Sunday. I had no malfunctions of any kind. I worked great, in both double action and single action. It felt really good, but towards the end of the session it did start to hurt my hands. It was the aggressive texture on the grip. The safety/decocker lever also got me good. A grip change would have prevented this. The slide is actually not as smooth as my glock but this doesn't affect anything. The trigger fells really do. Double action is it tough though. I don't shoot double action guns so it will take some time to get used too. The USP is a little heavier than my glock. Over all though, the gun is nice and shot just fine. I don't know if it's worth $400 more dollars than my glock but is sure looks better. Any questions?

Pretty much everything you pointed out can be explained by the fact that the USP (family) isn't made of plastic. It all depends on your purpose of use, though. H&K weapons are widely used in specialty groups (special forces, SWAT, so on) because they're dead reliable. The kind of "pour sand through the barrel and still be able to fire off a round" kind of reliable that you need in tense situations.

I'm not knocking Glock; they make quality weapons, but they're not really my cup of tea. The USP line is certainly high end, and it has a price tag attached to it. One of these is on my list of things to buy if I run into a lot of money.

You know the USP is a polymer frame gun right? Glocks have been proven to be dead reliable.

I'm actually well aware of both of those points. They both use similar cam lock designs based on the one used by Browning, but that's not relevant either.

Wow? Rattles, really? 1911s rattle all the time that doesn't make them any less of a gun. I don't understand why you two are comparing apples to apples here. Both USPs and Glocks have amazing track records and great reliability. To add, we need more pics and less chatter. :D :D

Koth, nice Mosin Nagant.
