Epic Vagina Posted March 26, 2010 Share Posted March 26, 2010 WoW will always be the best MMORPG. its obviously the most known one out of all of them and is actually a very well put together game with a lot of things to do no matter what your looking for. leveling all of your characters (for people who like doing the same thing) PVP agianst other players the best i have seen in any MMORPG ( for people who like t-baggin) Raid bosses (for people who like playing the game to be the best ) Playing the Auction House ( For people who like to apply strategy and technique to control a small [Compared to the modern world] economic system where the growth of one field could mean the down fall of another. WoW will always be the most popular MMORPG. While I can easily say that the general PvE is vastly supperior to every other MMORPG, I'm willing to put that Guild Wars' high level Instances are easily on par with WoW's high level PvE instances. That statement doesn't really have a good measure from my point of view as I never really got into higher than level 50ish instances. And while I can't speak for Aion, I can only hope that Guild Wars and WoW aren't the only ones that actually develop higher skill areas. PvP I have no heavy grasp on to compare. I'm not going to go on though, since this will probably tl;dr. I'm not even talking about Aion. Calling WoW the best without other experience seems short-sighted though, Aion's actual quality aside. Epic Vagina Posted March 26, 2010 Share Posted March 26, 2010 well i have seen both Aion and Guild wars and played for at least 1 hour and what i noticed and heard what people said the interface was like WoW but not as seemless or simple and the PVP lacked the amount of time that the WoW has including not as much difference between sessions. this can all be explained by the fact that wow makes large amounts of money and has huge resources compared to the other games including a lot of experience. im not saying these games are not good i just think that no MMORPG will compare to WoW. Weeman Posted March 26, 2010 Share Posted March 26, 2010 WoW used to be better then aion pvp wise till they added resilience. Aion is mindless korean grinding surrounded by getting ganked by level 50s when your a low level. flying around is a nice idea and all but when every character has about 6-10 root spells (term for spells that hold you in place for X amount of time) and locks you in place in mid air, its just not fun since most pvp kills are just you falling to your death. A lot of mmorpg's are similar to Wow, and Wow is similar to one before it. You have a skill bar, you can get different types of armors, dye, change their appearance, a good amount of quests, etc. The only part of Aion, that I don't think WoW has is a BIG PvP arena. In Aion, you can choose to be a Asmodian (Evil) or Elyos (Good), and once you get to lvl 25, you can go to the Abyss. The Abyss is an huge area called "Reshanta", and there are 3 areas. Both the Elyos and Asmodians have a major base in the abyss, and there are many smaller outposts that legions (guilds) can capture. You will have to fly around the abyss, for ir can be hard to jump from island to island. [YOUTUBE]Pv8_9IAtBNo[/YOUTUBE] Also, Aion isn't as cartoony.
