2012 | Dooms day, or not?

Maybe the Mayans were ending the calendar there to signify another important event. Maybe the aliens that, according to some, visited the Mayans told them that's the day they would return to Earth.

To be honest I feel we have no proof to ultimately classify it as doomsday or not. But in my slightly insane way of think I would say no, it isn't.

The reason the Mayan calendar ends there is because that is the ending of the age of Pisces and the entrance to the age of Aquarius. It's all astronomical.

Even in the bible, it talks about the end of the world. However, it's not exactly like that.

"As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world."

However, the problem is with the translation of the Greek word "Aion". Aion does not mean "world", but rather the "age".

They planned for 23,040,000,000 days. Knowing an advancing civilization, They ran out of rock.
